Wishing for a break from the weather Gods - Du soleil svp!!

The cold and strong north winds just wont leave - again today we are under a grey sky but today it is accompanied with lots of rain .. started last night and continued throughout the day - forecast is that rain will continue overnight and through Monday. I love the full enclosure in the cockpit - it protects us from everything except the cold - today it would have been nice to have windshield wipers.
We set out on a ~ 110 mile section to Charleston that we will do in two parts. Today we did the first 45 miles and it started with very long straight canals followed by very windy bayou type river settings.

South Carolina Bayou

Nothing to see but trees and the occasional home. I was expecting to see a lot of floating trees and logs based on Ambitions last run through here, but fortunately there was little to dodge - good thing considering the reduced visibility.
Tonight we are docked at The Boat Shed marina in Georgetown SC (N33.21.704 W073.16.806) It is a cute town but we opt out of the walkabout due to the rain and also that it is a Sunday night so no shrimp and I suspect little open in town.

C'est froid aujourd'hui vraiment froid, j'ai tellement hâte de ne plus avoir à mettre mon ensemble de pluie pour être au chaud. Un ciel gris et de la pluie. Heureusement que nous sommes à l’abri à l’intérieur du «cockpit» cependant nous n’étions pas protégés du froid et de l’humidité. 

Nous étions à 110 milles de Charleston Caroline du sud, une distance que nous avons séparée sur deux jours. Une première journée de 45 milles à l’intérieur du canal avec un environnement de type bayou.

Rien de spécial, des arbres, des marécages… oh!! Ça doit être quelque chose en saison la quantité de moustiques.

De la pluie et une visibilité réduite, j’essuyais régulièrement le plastique du «dodger» afin d’en améliorer la vue. Nous avons croisé des petits bateaux de pêche aux crevettes. La destination du jour est Boat Shed Marina en Caroline du sud in Georgetown SC (N33.21.704 W073.16.806)
